Oh Adelade!

Oh Mommyhood!
I have the wonderful blessing of being a mother, to my sweet daughter Adelade. Though I am quite biased on her sweetness I do think she is one cutie-pa-tootie! I admit though she is very cute, she still pushes my buttons and drives me nuts at times. I am not a perfect mother in anyway, but I love her with all my heart and always will.

I can't believe my baby girl is not such a baby anymore. She is turning 2 next month! TWO?! When did that happen??

This evening when she was getting to her "going crazy" stage (which means it was bedtime) she was doing the silliest thing. First off, you must know she is kind of obsessed with opening and closing doors. She spent about 5 minutes continuously opening and closing our front closet door. As she would close the door, she would say "bye" and before the door was even shut she would push it open and throw her hands in the air with the most excited look on her face and giggle her face off. This continued for about 5 minutes, until she hurt her toe on the door...(most things end because she wipes out, hits her head...knees, toes, elbow, finger--you name it). It was so entertaining to just sit and watch her. I love watching her personality just shine!!

Here are some getting to know you points about Adelade:
1. She LOVES yogurt, she would eat it every meal.
2. She LOVES Elmo, she calls him "Melmo" which is pretty cute. We watch Sesame Street most days as per her request to watch "Melmo!!!!". I had no idea Sesame Street was 56 minutes...anyway, during those 56 minutes she runs around and plays until "Elmo's World" comes on. Usually I turn it off before that part ever comes on, but thanks to Netflix eventually we get to "Elmo's World". I understand this might be quite uninteresting to most people but this is life with my 2 year old.
3. She LOVES playing outside, she especially loves the slides.
4. She is tall and skinny, just like her dad.
5. She plays hard, just liker dad... hence all the bruises on her legs.
6. She has beautiful fair skin, I hope she thinks it is beautiful even though she'll be a lobster every summer like her momma!
7. She has a tender heart, she showed me this yesterday at the park when she was playing with someone's baby doll and I said "we have to go home now". Without hesitation she said "bye bye" to the baby doll and -KISSED it-, though I said to myself "oh my!- don't kiss the random doll at the park" it was very precious!
8. Cuddles before bed last about 2 seconds...she is not that cuddly unless asleep or upset during the night.
9. She LOVES stuffed animals--big ones--small ones--the fuzzier the better!
10. She isn't the greatest eater. I try not to stress about it. She refuses to eat any vegetable except the inside of her tomato slices!! She has a limited repertoire of foods she'll eat on a regular basis, fruit snacks being one of them (sometimes she doesn't even chew them!! not good!) other foods being yogurt, berries, oranges, bananas, plain pasta, cheese, crackers, oatmeal, milk, eggs, bagels with cream cheese, peanut butter...oh yes and of course french fries, cookies & ice cream...who doesn't LOVE to eat those?!

Anyway the list could go on and on.

I am so grateful to be this little girl's Momma. She loves me with all my imperfections, and still wants me to hug her better even when I'm the one making her upset.

Oh Mommyhood!- you are a challenge, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Welcome

Hi...Sup..Yo!

So I wanted to start a blog in hopes to document some of my family's moments and memories.
I love the thought of keeping a journal, my mom was really great at it, and I really enjoy reading it now.

I am writing this blog about me and my family so I can keep track of the little things, the big things and all the in between. I have loved reading my friends blogs and have often thought,
"Ang you should keep a blog about you and your family"...
But then I would procrastinate and put it off.
I did start a blog for my business (which was a start) but thought I wanted to get a little more personal and perhaps complete strangers looking into fitness wouldn't want to hear about dirty diapers and what I can't make for dinner.

Anyway, this is me starting something (yay-team!)

So this will be my "not as personal as a diary" blog about my simple life in hopes to one day look back on and appreciate the fact that I kept record of it. Here's hoping...

First thing is a picture of my sweet fam-jam, there will be more to come!
